1.Total Phosphorus Analyzer Principle
Total Phosphorus Analyzer is used to monitor total phosphorus levels, offering a wide measurement range suitable for a variety of wastewater and drinking water applications.Under high temperature and high pressure conditions, the sample is digested with potassium persulfate, and all the phosphorus-containing compounds in the sample are converted into orthophosphate (this step is required to measure orthophosphate).In a 5%-8% nitric acid solution, orthophosphate forms a soluble phosphovana-molybdenum yellow complex with ammonium metavanadate and ammonium molybdate, and its absorbance is measured at a specific wavelength, which is linearly related to the orthophosphate concentration of the sample.In this relation, the absorbance can be converted into the total phosphorus (TP) or orthophosphate (PO4) concentration value of the sample.
