The Dust Monitoring System operates based on the principle of beta-ray attenuation. When air containing particulate matter is collected onto a filter tape through a sampling head, beta rays pass through the filter tape adsorbed with particulate matter, and the intensity of the rays attenuates due to the presence of the particulate matter. By measuring the degree of attenuation, the mass concentration of the particulate matter can be accurately calculated. This monitoring method is not disturbed by external factors such as the color, shape, or refraction of the particulate matter, and can achieve high-precision measurement of dust particles of different particle sizes such as PM2.5 and PM10, with the error rate controlled within a very small range to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the monitoring data.
The monitoring cycle of this device is highly controllable. Users can flexibly set monitoring cycles from minute-level to hour-level according to actual needs. In scenarios such as construction sites and mining areas where real-time changes in dust need to be mastered, the monitoring cycle can be set to 5-10 minutes to timely obtain fluctuating data on dust concentration, enabling supervisors to respond quickly and take dust reduction measures. For long-term monitoring of urban air quality, the cycle can be adjusted to 1 hour or longer to analyze the long-term trends of regional dust pollution and provide data support for the formulation of environmental governance policies.
