Crop growth monitoring refers to the dynamic observation of crop seedling status, growth conditions and their changes, which is related to the adjustment of cultivation measures. The adoption of rapid and non-destructive monitoring methods can not only reflect the changes in crop yield (whether abundant or poor), but also predict food shortages or surpluses in advance, which is of great value for the macro-control of food.
Crop growth is affected by a variety of factors such as light, temperature, soil, water, gas (CO₂), fertilizers, diseases and pests, disastrous weather, and management methods. In the early stage of crop growth, it is mainly reflected in the quality of seedling status; while in the middle and late stages of growth and development, it mainly reflects the growth trend of plants and specific characteristics related to yield (whether high or low). Although the growth process of crops is a complex physiological and ecological process, it can be described by some factors that can reflect their growth characteristics and are closely related to them.
Smart AgriculturePlant Growth Monitoring System has functions such as fixed-point shooting, remote graphic and image transmission, and AI analysis. It mainly uses high-definition continuous video images with adjustable focal length to realize remote real-time dynamic positioning monitoring of crop phenology, nutrient balance, seedling growth status, and occurrence of diseases and pests.
The system is combined with an intelligent meteorological monitoring system to obtain meteorological information of the crop growth environment, thereby realizing comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of various crop indicators. The system consists of a 4G network video server and a high-resolution camera. The network video server is mainly responsible for the conversion and transmission of video signals and provides remote network video services. In the existing Internet environment, as long as network access is available, users can view remote images according to their own permissions, realizing multi-point, online and convenient monitoring. The network camera communicates through a wireless bridge to build a wireless network, and all images and control signals are centrally displayed and controlled in the control center.
The role of seedling growth monitoring mainly includes three aspects: first, improving seedling monitoring data, which helps to gain a deeper understanding of crop development characteristics and growth laws; second, through monitoring reports, guiding farmers to scientifically prevent and mitigate disasters, reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests, lower production costs, increase crop yields, and achieve the goal of cost saving and efficiency increasing; third, innovating working methods, providing scientific guidance for agricultural production with the help of monitoring, allowing relevant personnel to participate in front-line monitoring work, and realizing the integration of theory and practice.
The monitoring large screen can display the collection and management of environmental data, data display, real-time live broadcast of video surveillance, automatic management of equipment, etc. Users can remotely check the status of field crops through mobile phones or computers, realize the automation and intelligence of field management, reduce the labor cost of field management, and achieve the goal of cost saving and efficiency increasing.
