The weather stations used in the agricultural field are called Agricultural Weather Stations. In order to better serve agricultural production, in addition to the conventional meteorological elements, Agricultural Weather Stations will also focus on increasing the monitoring of soil-related elements, such as soil moisture, temperature, and nutrients. This provides a scientific basis for agricultural irrigation and fertilization, and improves the utilization rate of water resources and fertilizers. Of course, they will also pay attention to the elements of the crop growth environment, such as light intensity, photosynthetically active radiation, and carbon dioxide concentration. The monitoring of light and radiation helps to understand the photosynthesis conditions of crops, and the monitoring of carbon dioxide concentration is of great significance for increasing the application of gaseous fertilizers in protected agriculture to improve yields.
Currently, Agricultural Weather Stations have achieved automation and intelligence. They can automatically collect and transmit data. With the help of intelligent sensors and data analysis technology, they can also automatically analyze and issue early warnings for meteorological data. For example, they will remind farmers to irrigate when the soil moisture is low, and promptly push early warning information to farmers when disastrous weather is approaching.
Sometimes, Agricultural Weather Stations will be reasonably planned according to the layout of farmland and the types of crops. Different crops have different requirements for meteorological conditions, and there are also differences in the topography and landforms of farmland. For large areas of farmland with a single type of crop, the weather stations are mostly arranged in the central area of the farmland or upwind of the dominant wind direction to obtain representative data. For farmland with multiple types of crops, multiple weather stations or monitoring points will be set up at key positions according to the planting areas and growth requirements of different crops to achieve accurate monitoring.
Of course, the preferred installation location for the weather stations is a place with convenient transportation and easy access, which is convenient for technicians to carry out daily maintenance, equipment inspection, and data collection. The installation height of the equipment and the design of the operation interface will also take into account the convenience of the operators, reducing the maintenance cost and operation difficulty.
In the fields of meteorological monitoring and hydrology, the piezoelectric rain gauge and the Radar Precipitation Sensor Rain Gauge Distrometer are commonly used rainfall monitoring devices. Today, the author will compare the differences between the two.The piezoelectric rain gauge works by u...
In the field of meteorological monitoring, traditional monitoring methods have limitations in specific geographical environments. Ground-based equipment is restricted by terrain and difficult to achieve comprehensive coverage; while satellites can provide macro-level monitoring, they lack precision...
The Ultrasonic weather station utilizes ultrasonic technology to measure meteorological elements. When ultrasonic waves propagate in the air, their propagation speed is affected by air flow. When the wind blows from different directions, the propagation times of ultrasonic waves in the downwind and...
Wind speed monitoring is not only crucial for the promotion of a green lifestyle but also directly affects our daily travel safety and the production environment. When the wind speed is too high, it not only poses a threat to driving safety but may also trigger natural disasters. Therefore, the prec...
