The handheld weather station is a portable observation instrument that integrates wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, altitude and other meteorological elements. It uses precision sensors and smart chips and has built-in large-capacity storage chips. It can be widely used in meteorology, environmental protection, agriculture and forestry, airports, scientific research and other fields.
A handheld weather station, also known as a handheld weather instrument, is a portable weather observation instrument that is easy to carry, simple to operate, and integrates multiple meteorological elements. The system uses precision sensors and smart chips to accurately measure wind speed, wind direction, average wind speed, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, altitude, heat index, wet bulb temperature, wave height, dew point temperature, wind chill index, GNSS three-mode positioning and other factors at the same time. The device has a built-in large-capacity FLASH memory chip that can store at least one year of meteorological data; it is equipped with a Type-C communication interface to facilitate users to further process and analyze meteorological data.
The handheld weather station uses high-precision sensor array and intelligent data processing technology. The temperature and humidity sensors work based on the thermistor and capacitive principles, the wind speed sensor generates pulse signals through three-cup rotation, the wind direction sensor uses a photoelectric encoder to locate the direction, and the air pressure sensor uses a piezoresistive sensitive element. Some models integrate GPS/BDS dual-mode positioning functions, which can accurately obtain the longitude, latitude, and altitude information of observation points, and achieve synchronous association of meteorological data and location information. The device has a built-in electronic compass, which can monitor the wind direction 360 degrees. The whole machine adopts a lightweight design. The dimensions of some models are only 70mm × 30mm × 160mm, and the weight is about 0.5Kg. It can be held and carried with one hand. The protection level can reach IP67, and the built-in lithium battery supports continuous operation for more than 24 hours.
In terms of functional design, the handheld weather station is equipped with a large-screen LCD screen, which can simultaneously display core parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and air pressure, as well as extended information such as longitude and latitude, altitude, and wave height, making data reading intuitive and efficient. The data recording interval can be set freely between 1 and 240 minutes, and up to tens of thousands of meteorological data can be stored. Some models support 4G wireless transmission function, and data can be directly uploaded to the cloud platform, supporting remote access and simultaneous viewing by multiple users.
Handheld weather stations can be widely used in meteorology, environmental protection, airports, agriculture and forestry, hydrology, military, warehousing, scientific research and other fields. It is used in scenarios such as agricultural meteorological monitoring, forestry fire early warning, water conservancy flood control and drought relief, power inspection, traffic condition assessment, outdoor adventure activity guarantee and meteorological experimental teaching in colleges and universities.
