In chemical plants, large quantities of flammable, explosive, toxic, and harmful chemicals are typically stored and used, with production processes often conducted under extreme conditions such as high/low temperature, high/low pressure. In such environments, changes in meteorological conditions can have significant impacts on production safety and the environment. Therefore, chemical plants need a device capable of real-time and accurate monitoring of meteorological elements to enable timely measures for ensuring production safety and environmental stability.
The FT-CQX5 five-element ultrasonic weather station is a compact meteorological station that can simultaneously monitor five meteorological elements: wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and air pressure. Based on an integrated design, it features a compact structure, small size, and easy installation, allowing rapid deployment at various monitoring points in chemical plants. By measuring the time difference of ultrasonic wave propagation in the air to calculate wind speed and direction, it offers advantages over traditional mechanical anemometers, such as no mechanical wear, fast response, high precision, and strong reliability.
The air in chemical plants often contains corrosive chemicals such as acids and alkalis. The sensor housing of this weather station is made of imported ASA material, which has excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, effectively resisting salt spray and erosion from various chemical substances. This extends the equipment's service life and reduces equipment failures and maintenance costs caused by corrosion.
The environment in chemical plants is complex, facing potential challenges such as rain, dust, and vibrations from machinery and equipment. The FT-CQX5 weather station is waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof, with a protection rating of IP65 or higher. Its waterproof design ensures normal operation in rainy days without damage from water ingress, while the dustproof design prevents dust from entering the equipment and affecting sensor accuracy.
The FT-CQX5 weather station comes standard with GPRS transmission for real-time remote data transmission. It also offers optional transmission methods including RJ45, Ethernet, 4-20mA, Lora transparent transmission, 4G transparent transmission, Bluetooth, and 485-to-USB, allowing users to select appropriate methods based on the actual needs and site environment of the chemical plant. This ensures stable and fast data transmission to the monitoring center or host computer management software.
The supporting software supports serial data reception, processing, and display, as well as communication methods such as JSON strings and Modbus485. It also enables historical data viewing, analysis, table export, curve display, and single-data-point viewing, and supports map display for intuitive visualization of equipment information and meteorological data distribution. These functions help chemical plant staff comprehensively and deeply analyze and manage meteorological data to make timely decisions.
This weather station requires no debugging and can be quickly deployed without professional personnel. Its two-meter carbon steel bracket design allows direct socketing of the sensor at the top without a flange, greatly simplifying the installation process and reducing installation time and costs.
