Handheld Weather meter is a portable meteorological monitoring device integrating multiple sensors to measure meteorological parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind speed, and wind direction in real time.
The Handheld Weather meter developed in this project utilizes high-precision sensors and an intelligent processing chip, integrating monitoring functions for meteorological elements such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and light intensity. The device is compact, lightweight, and easy to carry outdoors. Its user interface is simple and intuitive, allowing non-professionals to quickly learn how to use it.
In terms of technical design, the device uses a modular structure to support flexible combinations of different functional sensors. The core sensor unit includes a temperature and humidity composite sensor, a piezoresistive barometric pressure sensor, an ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor, and an optical illuminance sensor. Data from these sensors is processed in real time by the intelligent chip and displayed directly on the device's LCD screen, while also supporting data storage and export functions.
The device possesses several practical features. Its sealed casing achieves an IP66 protection rating, enabling it to withstand harsh weather conditions such as rain and snow. An internal lithium battery provides power, ensuring continuous operation for over 8 hours, meeting the battery life requirements for field monitoring. Measurement accuracy has been professionally calibrated, resulting in low error.
In terms of application scenarios, this device is particularly suitable for environmental monitoring at emergency rescue sites. Rescue personnel can quickly obtain real-time meteorological data from disaster areas, supporting rescue decision-making. It is also widely used in agricultural field management, scientific field investigations, and outdoor activity safety assurance. Educational institutions can also use it for meteorological teaching practice, helping students understand the changing patterns of meteorological elements.
The project's technical solution solves the problems of traditional meteorological monitoring equipment being bulky and complex to operate. In the future, the project team plans to further expand the device's functionality, add more environmental parameter monitoring options, improve data transmission capabilities, and develop dedicated data analysis software to provide users with a more comprehensive meteorological monitoring solution. Continuous technological improvements will focus on enhancing measurement accuracy, extending battery life, and optimizing user experience, enabling the device to adapt to a wider range of application needs.
